DIY

DIY hormone therapy means doing it without a prescription. Check out:

Blood tests

This provider (one is the english page the other the dutch one) provides a bunch of blood tests. You order the tests, pay a good chunk of money (around 100€ for Estradiol and Testosterone) and receive an empty vial and a referral to a local blood collection point (usually a GP).

You bring this test kit to the place they tell you and show them the referral, they will take your blood and you throw it in a mailbox that is emptied same day.

You receive the results by email after a few days.

If you already have a doctor, it is worth asking them to order a blood test for you, even if they may not be able to interpret it.

Buying Hormones

  • Buying HRT: Only order from sources that ship from within the EU or Turkey to avoid your shipments getting caught by customs

Injection supplies

Generally, if you do subcutaneous (in fat layer) estrogen injections, you will need sterile alcohol 70% alcohol wipes, syringes (with needles) and some container to store your used needles.

Insulin needles are most commonly used, as they have a fixed, thin needle and are very easy to use.

You can get a dedicated sharps container or use a sturdy water bottle for example.

Make sure to buy medical supplies! Not every syringe is sterile and made for medical use. DO NOT buy from Amazon, buy from medical supplies shops such as:
